Fairview, built in 1896, is a spacious recently re-furbished house with full modern facilities. The front house can sleep six. There is ample parking in the courtyard within the house grounds. The house is located in the heart of Boat of Garten ideally placed for shops and the village facilities. The Post Office provides fresh bread, croissants, cheeses, wines, fresh vegetables, fruit and all manner of other goodies. Dows stores has a selection of fresh produce. and everything else you could think of. Andersons restaurant is next door and does wonderful value lunches and outstanding evening meals and is extremely popular and requires to be booked to avoid disappointment.
The property has central heating with a heat as you run water system and a wood burning stove. The house is fully insulated and double glazed to cope with the "Boat winters".
Downstairs there is an open plan living room leading into a modern kitchen. There is a bay window that looks onto Deshar Road. The living room has a comfy settee, small settee and two chairs. The Morso wood burner is a cosy feature of the room. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, large microwave and plenty of china and utensils. The kitchen table seats six. The rooms are light and airy with windows looking into the garden. The downstairs bedroom has a large en suite shower and toilet facility, electric towel rail and a king sized double bed. The front porch has ample boot storage space. There is a large cupboard under the stairs. There is a 32" satellite television and unlimited wifi.
Upstairs there is a landing with two double bedrooms, separated by a spacious bathroom, with an over the bath shower and electric towel rail. There is a spacious double bedded room while the larger room has a double bed with an additional single bed. (for use as a twin bedded room)
All electricity, heating costs, logs for the stove, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included. A welcome pack with tea,coffee and dish-washing tablets will be provided.
There is parking for two cars in the courtyard. Bicycles can be stored in the bike shed. The friendly proprietors live at the back of the house and are a fund of useful local knowledge.
We regret that no dogs or pets can be accommodated at Fairview as we let the house as being allergy-free.
